Brilliant place. Went in for my holiday injections today . Smooth as silk and the grandson ( we were minding him today) even got a sticker without any injections. He was well pleased. We have never had any problem in getting seen when needed. Always polite, friendly and efficient.

The usual poor appointment selection, you've got the fortnight to pick from, the receptionist to battle but the doctors are what bring this up to 3 stars. They are decent and good at their job. In fairness to the receptionists, they do have a lot of unhappy people to contend with, I just wish they would take their time and understand each patient rather than speak for us when we're trying to speak to them.
The reception staff and waiting times make this place look poor but the doctors that you are seen by make the place a little bit better than its face value.

Getting an appointment can be a nightmare! Mixed reviews re the doctors - if you get Dr Lawson, he’s very attentive and very dishy (irrelevant but accurate!). Avoid Dr Abraham - you’ll go in with a broken leg and leave with antibiotics for a bladder infection. Does not listen/pay attention, I was asked the same question 3 times.
Dr Carr is amazing (not sure if he is still there) and the only one consultant GP in Newport I believe. When our daughter was discharged from hospital he rang and checked how was she doing. I wish all GPs were like him and I wish all medical staff had better working conditions. I generally believe they do they best.
